North American Water Bottles

The garden variety water bottle seems like unnecessary promotional plastic, so we haven't offered one since...2014? Now we have a Mountainflow (brand) water bottle that looks and acts normal, but it is made of sugar cane, instead. Google mountainflow and you can read more. It's a good company, based in Colorado, and the bottles are made in Mexico.

It holds 24oz, 1 1/2-pints of water. The makers claims a leakproof cap, and in that regard, it seems good enough. If you put a carbonated soda in it and shake it upside down, some oozes out, but normal water on a 48-degree downtube or a 72-degree seat tube seems fine. The black cap has a raised, high-friction honeycomb pattern to minimize slipping while tightening.

Philosophy Alert: A water bottle doesn't need to be promotional, so we minimized that part. (Even so, we're a fan of the MASH logo-ripoff water bottles.)  This water bottle won't wreck the aesthetics of a nice-looking bicycle, and it's clear, so you can see what's left and if it's still clean. It's also dishwasher-compatible, in the lower section set on normal. I/Grant have melted a Nalgene cap before down there, but this one came through like a champ. Results may vary.

Since the small rbw makes it slightly promotional, we mark it up minimally. If your sole criterion for a water bottle is price, try to beat this $11 beauty.
