Winter Goat Gloves

Goat & Sheep Gloves

We’ve been testing these gloves for about five months and through four prototypes, and we are painfully aware that you can get cheaper gloves at Ace, but are delighted to
point out that you can also get way more expensive cycling gloves from the big shots,
so we’d appreciate it if you’d compare these to those. Theirs are synthetic, highly likely
saturated with PFAS. These are nearly all natural. They aren’t strictly a Rivendell
product, but we had a lot of input.

The palms are goat, the backs are 100 percent British wool, and we picked the colors.
Between the goat palms and sheep backs are thin panels of cotton, necessary for a tidy fit, we’re told.

The index fingers have a peep-hole for phone use. They closes up when not in use. A Velcro closure keeps these gloves on your hands in the strongest winds and tumbling falls, but most of the time they seem overkill.

They stretch, they feel good, they keep our hands warmish down to about 40-degrees,
but we’re in a part of California that rarely dips below that, so it’s hard to list a "comfort range." If you're used to cold hands, you might like them at 20ºF—when Riv-staffers would pull out the hand muk-luks.

MADE IN: Pakistan, where 99 percent of the world's gloves are made. Our guy is small and good.

CARE: Wash, if at all, quickly by hand with a mild soap. Pine Tar soap is fine, but not
required. Air dry. Other than that, no special care or advice!

FIT: We went to great lengths to make sure the fit was decent. Metal forms were made
just for these. If you have hands and/or fingers like Shaq, they won’t fit. Otherwise,
here’s a chart. If you’re torn between two sizes, go big. Palm circumference at widest
point in cm:
18-19 XS
19-20 S
20-21 M
21-23 L
23-24 XL
24-25 2X
